Klub powstał z myślą o seniorach powyżej 60 roku życia, którzy zyskali miejsce spotkań. I korzystają z niego bardzo aktywnie. Zajęcia muzyczne, plastyczne, sportowe czy edukacyjne, warsztaty taneczne, wystawy – to tylko początek. Odbywają się tu bowiem wszelkie imprezy organizowane dla i przez seniorów. Wspólne świętowanie z okazji Dnia Babci i Dziadka, Jasełka, Andrzejki, Mikołajki, wieczorki taneczne i wiele innych wydarzeń świadczy o tym, jak dobrze czują się tu zarówno stali bywalcy jak i zaproszeni goście. The Active Seniors from Jugów

In the heart of Jugów, there exists a vibrant hub of activity that springs to life from the early morning hours until the afternoon sun begins to wane. This bustling centre is none other than the Senior Club, a vital institution that has been serving the community for nearly two years. Strategically positioned in the village’s central precinct, it enjoys close proximity to essential amenities like the health centre, church, and pharmacy. Thanks to the EU funding secured by the municipality for this commendable project, senior citizens now spend their time here in utmost comfort. Moreover, it’s important to underscore that this building plays a pivotal role for the entire village community, as well as the Nowa Ruda municipality.
The Senior Club was conceived with a primary focus on residents aged 60 and above, providing them with a dedicated meeting place. As a result, they’re using it very actively. A bustling array of activities awaits, encompassing music, art, sports, and educational pursuits. Dance workshops, exhibitions, and an array of other events are hosted here, representing just the tip of the iceberg. This vibrant venue plays host to celebrations for Grandparents’ Day, Nativity plays, St. Andrew’s Day, St. Nicholas Day, dance soirées, and a large array of festivities, underscoring the warm and inviting atmosphere that both regular patrons and esteemed guests invariably enjoy. The founders of this facility attach great importance to fostering intergenerational connections within the municipality, and its well-equipped kitchen readily facilitates communal cooking and culinary workshops.
Furthermore, the Senior Club proudly extends its outreach across borders, collaborating with neighbours from the Czech Republic on various events as part of the “Seniors from the Borderlands” initiative. This facility operates under the attentive supervision of the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Nowa Ruda, serving as a care centre that offers stationary daytime care and a cherished gathering place for older adults.
